2019 Audi A2 Concept Car

The Audi A2 city car will be offered with a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine and an all-electric powertrain with a lithium-ion battery pack and electric motor similar to those used in the VW e-Up. Intriguingly, the automaker is said to have ruled out a diesel engine due its higher development costs.

This is the third time Audi attempts to enter this segment. In 1999, the original Audi A2 was introduced but soon scrapped after failing to pull buyers away from the Mercedes-Benz A-Class. In 2011, an electric A2 concept was unveiled and pinned to reach the production line, but in 2013 the project was axed.

The most expensive model in the launch range is the Prestige with quattro at $48,900.

Later on, Audi will enhance the A4’s lineup with an entry-level 2.0L gasoline and a frugal 2.0L diesel engine, as well as the performance S4 model fitted with a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 pumping out 349hp (354PS) and 368 lb-ft of peak torque for a 0-62mph (100km/h) time of 4.7 seconds. It will compete against the BMW 340i and the Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG.

Audi TT RS Quattro Sport

The range-topping Audi TT is going to be offered exclusively with the same, seven-speed dual-clutch unit found in the latest Audi RS3 as the German company decided to stop pairing a manual gearbox to the turbocharged 5-cylinder 2.5-litre engine according to this Car&Driver report.

We have already heard that the next TT-RS will likely produce close to 400 ponies instead of the 362hp this engine makes under the bonnet of the RS3 which is expected to reach the US shores in a sedan body rather than the hatchback available in Europe. The new Audi TT-RS is expected around the second-half of 2016.

If you are curious about how the new Audi TT-RS will look like, your best chance is to have a second glimpse on the TT Quattro Sport concept from the 2014 Geneva Motor Show which was wearing a more aggressive bodywork and an updated aero agenda.

According to a report from Motor Authority, which cites official information offered by the company, the 2017 Audi A4 will launch with two engine choices in the US, both of which will be equipped exclusively with Quattro all-wheel drive. There will be a 2.0-liter TFSI turbocharged gasoline four-cylinder unit rated at 252hp and 273lb-ft (370Nm) of torque, as well as a 2.0-liter TDI turbo diesel rated at 190hp and 295lb-ft (400Nm) of torque.

Both engine variants will be available with front-wheel drive too later in the model year. Both units will be mated to Audi's 7-speed S Tronic dual-clutch transmission, and no, there won't be any CVT offered. Audi hasn't released fuel economy numbers yet, but the automaker promises a 21 percent improvement in fuel efficiency. The automaker didn't rule out a manual transmission option, which could even be offered with the diesel.

As for body styles, the US market will get the A4 first as a sedan and later as an Allroad jacked-up estate, which means the A4 Avant will most likely not be available. However, the S4 and RS4 high-performance models are likely to arrive in the US. Pricing for the 2017 Audi A4 will be announced closer to launch.

Audi RS7 Piloted Driving Concept

RS 7 nicknamed "Bobby" completed a driverless lap on the Hockenheim circuit at speeds up to 240 km/h (149 mph). The new generation of the car is called "Robby," has the same power output (560PS or 552hp, but is around 400kg (882lbs) lighter than its predecessor. Obviously, Robby delivers better performance than Bobby.

The new RS7 Piloted Driving Concept took just 2:01.01 minutes to complete the 4,050-meter (2.5 mi) circuit. "In Sonoma, we took the Audi RS7 piloted driving concept to its physical limits lap after lap, and it handled the task with uniform precision. The car turned in lap times that were better than those of sports car drivers," said Thomas Müller, who is responsible for the development of brake, steering and driver assistance systems at Audi.

Audi will be offering piloted driving for the first time in the upcoming generation of the Audi A8. That's why company is also testing piloted driving in real road traffic. Earlier this year, an Audi A7 prototype called "Jack" drove on public highways from Silicon Valley to Las Vegas for the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

Later on, the same car drove autonomously on German autobahns at speeds up to 130 km/h (81 mph). Audi says its piloted driving technology will increase safety, time savings, efficiency and convenience. The systems can take control of the car during parking or in stop-and-go traffic on freeways at speeds up to 60 km/h (37 mph).

The German automaker is reportedly considering dropping the three-door A3 hatchback in favor of a four-passenger TT, as well as building an A3 Sportback Allroad and even an A3 minivan. While the fate of the slow-selling three-door A3 hatchback is almost sealed, the popular A3 Sportback will likely gain a rugged Allroad version. Rumor has it Audi plans to expand the Allroad lineup with models based on the A5 Sportback and A7 Sportback as well.

Audi is also said to plan a compact four-passenger TTC coupe that would be more or less related to the TT. The Audi TTC is envisioned as a roomier, more practical and more affordable alternative to the TT – somewhat similar to the VW Scirocco or Hyundai Veloster. Work on the TTC Concept is said to have already begun.

Finally, Audi's compact family may get an MPV that would rival BMW's 2-Series Gran Tourer. However, an Audi A3 minivan would not target the European market, but China, where Audi believes premium compact people carriers will soon be in high demand.

"While there is no shortage of upmarket, compact-size four- and five-seaters, we believe that before long every leading premium brand will need a compact-size seven-seater," an Audi product planner told Automobile. "You see, while the executives always travel in style, the workers must follow in very basic people-movers like the best-selling Wuling Hongguang. Audi is thinking to smooth over this difference in style with a new model not unlike the BMW Gran Tourer," the source added.

ABT boss Hans-Jürgen Abt said "With our extension parts, we want to visually underline that the Q7 of the second generation is much lighter, more streamlined and sporty than its 10-year-old predecessor." It was only a matter of time before several tuning companies start to bring out new accessories for Audi's new SUV, with ABT being one of the first to offer a complete body kit for the Q7.

2016 Audi A4

The 2016 Audi A4 looks exactly like a facelifted model, but maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, Audi has released more photos and a video of the all-new A4 which allow us to form a better impression. The new model is up to 120 kg (264.6 lbs) lighter than its predecessor, despite the fact that dimensions have grown: it is 4.73 meters (15.5 ft) long and has a wheelbase of 2.82 meters (9.3 ft). Boot volume for the A4 Avant is 505 liters (17.8 cu-ft), but with the rear seats folded down and loaded to the roof it increases to 1,510 liters (53.3 cu-ft). Audi says that's the most of any premium model in this class.

2016 Audi A4

The 2016 Audi A4 comes with the second-generation modular infotainment platform, which in combination with the MMI Navigation Plus gives customers the Audi connect hardware module, which connects to the Internet via the high-speed LTE network.

Another gadget is the Audi smartphone interface, which integrates iOS and Android mobile phones into an environment developed especially for this purpose – Audi MMI. In addition, the new available Audi tablet is responsible rear seat entertainment. As you've seen from recently post on the all-new A4, engine options in Germany include four- and six-cylinder diesel and petrol units with outputs ranging from 150PS to 272PS – but that’s before S and RS models are taken into account.

Audi says the all-new A4 makes a great leap forward in terms of handling, combining sportiness with comfort. The car benefits from redeveloped five-link axles and an electromechanical power steering. Optional features that enhance the driving experience include dynamic steering, which varies its ratio according to the car's speed and the steering angle, and suspension with adjustable shock absorbers which allows the driver to select between two settings: sports or comfort.
