The new 308 GTi will offer two versions of Peugeot's 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 250PS (247hp) and 270PS (266hp), both with a peak torque of 330Nm (243 lb-ft). It's the same mill found on Peugeot's RCZ R Coupe where it produces 270PS. Photos of the interior that gets a flat bottom steering wheel, sport seats dressed in leather and Alcantara with red stitching, chrome trimmings and a sported up instrument panel.
With the exception of the large exhaust pipes on the corners of the rear bumper and the chunky wheels, the New Peugeot 308 GTi is rather understated on the outside and it will take a trained eye to tell it apart from the lesser 308s, especially the 202hp 308 GT. Peugeot will formally introduce its VW Golf GTI and Ford Focus ST-challenging hot hatch at next week's Goodwood Festival of Speed. All we can do is just wait the officially released.
